The Benefits of
Enviroguard
sm |
|
| |
- Reduces system
refrigerant charge up to 45% and reduces refrigerant loss over the life
of the system.
- Provides early
warning of dirty condenser, failed condenser fans and refrigerant
leaks.
- Increased compressor life
due to lowered compression ratios that reduce the stresses on the
internal compressor parts.
- Increased compressor life
due to lowered compression ratios that reduce the stresses on the
internal compressor parts.
- Up to 40% operating cost
reduction from lowered system head pressure and better
subcooling.
Seamless non-corrosive drain pan for ease of
sanitation.
- Improved display case
temperatures due to better quality of liquid refrigerant being supplied
to the expansion valve compared to conventional systems.
- Reduced flash gas at the
expansion valves improves the capacity and efficiency of the expansion
valves
- Superior product integrity
allows up to 30% reduction in pull down time after defrost periods from
reduced flash gas at the expansion valves as a result of liquid
subcooling
- Easier to adjust and
service that conventional systems.

Additional Benefits
of Enviroguard II
sm
|
|
|
Enviroguard IIsm uses Enviroguard technology, however,
the amount of refrigerant used in the refrigeration system is controlled
by an electronic input/output (I/O) board.
|
 |
- Improved efficiency -
Enviroguard II provides up to 7% additional energy savings over the
original Enviroguard. A variable differential pressure logic that
maximizes subcooling while minimizing condenser TD leads to the
additional energy savings through lower head pressures.
- Easier setup and simpilfied
charging procedure - Charging and setting up an Enviroguard
II system requires setting the proper dip switches on the I/O board and
charging each station until the LED lights come on. No valve adjustments
are required.
- Lowered
maintenance - The mechanical regulating valve (SPR) that
required adjustments is replaced with an electronic solenoid valve
(SPR).
- Quicker and more accurate
system alarms - Since not all changes correspond to a
problem; two alarm conditions were developed. A caution alarm signals
system performance changes from the normal operating conditions; but not
necessarily an immediate problem. A warning alarm signals refrigerant
loss, sensor failure or board failure.
- Improved
reliability - Eliminating the outdoor refrigerant charged
temperature sensor used with Enviroguard reduces another leak potential
on the system and further simplifies installation.
-
Fail safe feature
- In the event of a system I/O board failure, all the condenser
fan motors remain running while a warning alarm is sent to the main
controller.
