Tyler Multiple Unit Parallel Compressor Systems

Cross Section View

Standard features

  • Vertical piping connection stubs allow rack to be narrowed on vertical rear and front access systems.
  • Oil reservoir assures adequate oil supply under varying conditions.
  • Rack lifting eyes for ease of installation.
  • Liquid sight glass indicates the amount of liquid in the system.
  • Oil strainer filters the oil system.
  • Liquid shut off valve allows isolation of the drier for servicing.
  • Copper suction manifold acts as an accumulator to prevent liquid floodback and to balance oil return.
  • Replaceable core liquid filter drier filters moisture and impurities from the refrigerant.
  • Oversized oil separator slows the flow to separate oil and refrigerant.
  • Oversized liquid receiver provides storage capacity for remote condenser operation.
  • Vibration isolation pads reduce vibration transmission.
  • Individual station indicators monitor the refrigeration and defrost operation of each station. Each station can be manually isolated.
  • Compressor run lights and toggle switches show when a compressor is running and provide a manual shut off.
  • Control panel is located near the front of the rack for easier access.
  • Individual compressor oil floats serve to control oil levels in each compressor for proper lubrication.
  • Oil failure controls stop the compressor during a lose of oil pressure to prevent compressor damage.

Optional features

  • ENVIROGUARDsm, the patented refrigerant control system, reduces initial refrigerant charge by as much as 45%, lowers operating costs as much as 40% and reduces pull-down time after defrost up to 30%.
  • Electronic pressure controls serve to control compressor operation in a more accurate, logical sequence.
  • High head pressure alarm sounds whenever the head pressure is too high.
  • Alarm system indicators show a signal for high head pressure, low oil pressure, low liquid level, or other alarms.
  • Low liquid level alarm sounds whenever the liquid level drops too low.
  • Heat recovery apparatus allows the system to be used for space heating.
